Successful Completion of Freshers' Orientation Program – Spring 2025

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Freshers' Orientation Program for the Spring 2025 semester, held on January 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM in H-104, GUB. The event was organized to welcome and introduce newly enrolled students to the academic and extracurricular opportunities within the department.

The program began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Md. Shafayat Omar (Batch 242003040), followed by a welcome address from Mr. Md. Al Amin Hossain, Lecturer & Moderator of the Green University Textile Club.

Throughout the event, students were introduced to the faculty members, academic guidelines, laboratory facilities, and extracurricular opportunities within the department. A presentation on GUTC and Textile Club activities was delivered by Abir Hassan Razu, Vice President, GUTC, encouraging students to engage in academic and professional development initiatives.

Additionally, key academic topics were discussed, including:

Academic Rules & Regulations – Presented by Mr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Assistant Professor & Program Coordinator, Dept. of Textile Engineering.

Importance of the Mentorship Program – Delivered by Dr. Md. Shariful Alam, Associate Professor, Dept. of Textile Engineering.

Higher Studies & Career Pathways – Highlighted by Dr. Jagannath Bishwas, Associate Professor, Dept. of Textile Engineering.

The session concluded with concluding remarks from Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Professor & Chairperson, Dept. of Textile Engineering, who expressed appreciation for the efforts of faculty members, club organizers, and student volunteers in making the event a success.

The program was anchored by Md. Siyam Morsalin and Suraiya Akter Suborna, ensuring a smooth and engaging session.

This orientation program successfully set the foundation for new students, inspiring them to embark on their academic journey with enthusiasm and determination.
