Successful Completion of Freshers' Orientation Program – Summer 2025

It is our great pleasure to inform you that the Department of Textile Engineering has successfully organized Fresher’s Orientation Program for Summer 2025 semester on 22th June, 2025 at 12:00 PM in H-104. The event was organized to welcome and introduce newly enrolled students to the academic and extracurricular opportunities within the department.

The program began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Mohammad Fahad (Batch 221903014), followed by a welcome address from Mr. Md. Al Amin Hossain, Lecturer & Moderator of the Green University Textile Club.

The newly admitted students introduced themselves. One of them came on stage and shared his feelings. There were some presentations about laboratories of the department, faculty strength and Green University Textile Club.

Mr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator talked about academic rules and regulations in his speech. Dr. Md. Shariful Alam, Associate Professor, Department of Textile Engineering gave a speech about the importance of mentorship programs and scope of higher studies. Dr. Jagannath Bishwas, Associate Professor, Department of Textile Engineering gave a speech on Prospects and Importance of Job Market in Textile Industry for fresher students. The Honorable Dean, Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Azad, Faculty of Science and Engineering joined the event as a special guest and encouraged the students to pledge to be the best sort of students during their time on campus.

The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Professor and Chairperson, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh. He delivered a very insightful speech about the current scenario and future prospects of textile industries in Bangladesh.
