TEX FEST-2020 inaugurated at 10:00 am with recitation from the Holy Quran. After that, Md Mutasim Uddin, Lecturer and Moderator, Green University Textile Club focused about the theme of TEX FEST-2020 in his brief speech. Dr. Md Shariful Alam, Associate Professor and Convener, TEX FEST-2020 Organizing Committee emphasize on the importance of connectivity among the students and the alumni members in his short speech. After that the Special Guest of the program, Prof. Dr. Md. Fayjur Rahman, Treasurer, Green University of Bangladesh welcomed everyone in TEX FEST-2020. Sir specially highlighted the continuous efforts of all the departments of Green University of Bangladesh to organize different extra-curricular activities in the recent past. After that, Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Green University of Bangladesh, delivered a brief but directional speech for the further development of the Department of Textile Engineering. Honorable VC Sir, focused on developing collaborations with the industry to make our students more compatible for various jobs of the large textile industry of Bangladesh. He also appreciated the efforts of the organizer for arranging such a nice program in this tough pandemic situation. After that, Chair of the session Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Professor and Chairman, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh provided an overview of various segments of the two days long TEX FEST-2020 program, thanked the honorable guests and organizer of the program and welcomed everyone.
