TEX FEST-2025_CAREER TALK

It is our great pleasure to inform you that the Department of Textile Engineering has successfully organized TEX FEST-2025 on 27th and 28th April, 2025. In this TEX FEST 2025 there was a career talk segment titled “Weaving the Future: Career Paths for Textile Engineers in Bangladesh”.

The Keynote Speaker of the talk was S. M. Asif Bin Asghar, Senior Merchandiser, PDS Fashion USA Limited. In his speech, he talked about various prospective job sectors of the textile field, pros and cons of each job and the skill set requirement for those jobs.

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dean and Professor, Faculty of Business Studies, Green University of Bangladesh was Special Guest of the segment. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of practical experience sharing sessions by industry personnel for upcoming graduates.

Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer, Green University of Bangladesh was the Chief Guest of the program. In his speech, he motivated the textile students to be prepared for the largest industrial sector of Bangladesh.  

This session was chaired by Dr. Md. Shariful Alam, Associate Professor, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh. Around 80 students and faculty members attended the session. Some glimpses of the program are attached below.
