TEX-FEST 2026: Threads & Rhythms - Cultural & Fashion Show

The Department of Textile Engineering successfully hosted Threads & Rhythms: Cultural and Fashion Show on November 1, 2026, marking a vibrant celebration of student creativity, performance, and craftsmanship as part of TEX-FEST 2026.  

The evening featured a diverse cultural lineup, including traditional and contemporary dance acts, acoustic and choral music, drama, and an electrifying headline concert by Band Prottoy.  

The undisputed centrepiece of the programme was the TEX-FEST 2026 Fashion Contest. Textile engineering students translated their technical fabric and apparel knowledge into stunning, runway-ready designs. Across multiple creative themes—ranging from traditional heritage to modern fusion—participants not only designed and tailored their own garments from scratch but also took to the ramp themselves as models. Their poise and technical creativity earned wide acclaim from guests and faculty alike, making the contest the defining highlight of TEX-FEST 2026.
