Visit to the 24th Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show 2025 (Summer Edition) by the Department of Textile Engineering

On 10 September 2025 (Wednesday), the Department of Textile Engineering of Green University of Bangladesh successfully organized an industrial exhibition visit to the 24th Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show 2025 (Summer Edition).

Our team consists of 35 participants including students and faculty members. We started the journey from the permanent campus of GUB at 10:15 am and reached the venue at 10:30 am. During the visit, participants had the opportunity to explore a wide range of modern textile machinery, fabrics, and chemical innovations showcased at the expo. The students also get to meet with some of the successful alumni of the Textile Engineering Department at the expo.

The 24th Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show 2025, held at the Bangladesh–China Friendship Exhibition Center, Purbachal, is recognized as the largest and oldest textile exhibition in Bangladesh. It features both domestic and international exhibitors, showcasing innovations in yarns, woven and knitted fabrics, trims and accessories, functional textiles, artificial leather, and sustainable solutions. The event not only highlights technological advancements but also serves as a platform for business networking, knowledge exchange, and exploring Bangladesh’s growing role as a global textile and apparel sourcing hub.

The visit concluded at 1:00 pm, and the team returned to campus by 1:15 pm, where everyone joined a lunch program sponsored by the central departmental fund of GUB. The event proved to be highly insightful and beneficial, enriching the knowledge of both our students and faculty members.
