Successful Completion of Industrial visit to Renaissance Apparels Ltd. arranged by The Dept. of Textile Engineering

I’m feeling very glad to inform you that the Department of Textile Engineering successfully organized an industrial visit at Renaissance Apparels Ltd. Mirzapur, Gazipur on 04 June 2023 (Sunday). It is worth mentioning that this is the third industrial visit of this semester organized by the Department.

Approximately 35 students were accompanied by two faculty members, Mr. Md. Mazharul Helal and Mr. Md. Ishmam Ibnul Arabi visited the industry. They started the journey from the City campus at around 8:30 am. On arrival at the place, HR of the industry Mr. Sultanur Ashif warmly welcomed us and gave an introductory speech regarding the industry. Then he divided the students into four groups and assigned four supervisors from the industry.

Renaissance Group is one of the renowned multinational group of company and 100% export oriented garments manufacturing company of Bangladesh. The company started its journey in 2010. This factory is located in Mirzapur, Gazipur with a huge area. The factory has four established units; Knitting, Dyeing, Washing & Printing. The daily capacity is around 30 tons. The garments section is under construction.

The students visited all of the four sections. They also visited the Effluent Treatment Plant, Water Treatment Plant and Lab Sections. They completed their visit at around 1 pm. The factory provided us lunch at 2 pm. Then we had a concluding remark from Mr. Sultanur Ashif, HR, Renaissance Apparels Ltd. and gathered for a group photo.
