Successful Completion of Orientation Program of the Department of Textile Engineering for Summer-2026 Semester

The Department of Textile Engineering has successfully organized Freshers’ Orientation Program for Summer-2026 semester on 13 June, 2026. The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Professor and Chairperson, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh. All the faculty members and staff, freshers’ students and a few guardians attend the program.

The program started with recitation from the holy Quran. After that, Md Mutasim Uddin, Lecturer and Moderator, GUTC, welcomed the freshers’ students to the department.

After that, Md. Mazharul Helal, Lecturer, introduced the faculty members of the department to the students. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator briefed the freshers’ students about academic rules and regulations.

Dr. Md. Shariful Alam, Associate Professor and Director of Student Affairs, discussed the job prospects and challenges to the fresher students. Dr. Jagannath Biswas, Associate Professor and Mentor Moderator, briefed the students about social capital and importance of mentorship programs.

The program was concluded by Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Professor and Chairperson, Department of Textile Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh with a very insightful speech about how to face the challenges of university life and what they should do to better prepare themselves for the future.
