Successful Visit of “21st Dhaka International Yarn & Fabric Show – 2024” at ICCB by The Dept. of Textile Engineering

the Department of Textile Engineering. I’m very excited to share with you that the Textile Engineering Department of GUB had successfully organized an Industrial Exhibition Visit to the “21st Dhaka International Yarn & Fabric Show – 2024” on March 7, 2024 (Thursday) at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The journey started from the Permanent Campus of GUB at 9.15 am & we reached the venue at 10.00 am. Then we completed the registration process. Approximately 140 individuals had been participated on this visit. Four Faculty members were assigned, they are Mr. Md. Monir Hossain, Mr. Md. Kaikobad, Mr. Md. Sherazul Islam and Mr. Md. Mubashwir Moshwan. The students were divided into four groups and each group was assigned one faculty member.

There was a huge collection of design fabric of both knitted and woven category. Various types of single jersey & double jersey derivatives, jacquard fabric, quilted fabric and many designs fabric with special features had been displayed there. Various types of fancy yarn and washed denim fabric had also been displayed. There was also collection of various garment accessories and pantone books.

The logistics section of the university provided us with three big buses. The accommodation was adequate. There were also provisions for some snacks for the exhibition participants, fully funded by the promotional fund of Green University of Bangladesh. We are very grateful to our authority for this support.

The visit lasted up to 12:30 pm and we arrived at the campus at around 1:00 pm. Overall, it was a very fruitful day for the students of the Department of Textile Engineering.
